TRADE REFERENCE | REVIEWED FOR PARTS-REQUEST CONTEXT

BRAND AND PARTS REFERENCE

XPENG.
Smart EVs need traceable parts data.

How to turn a general XPENG parts enquiry into a request that can be checked accurately by a workshop or supplier.

A TECHNOLOGY-LED START

Vehicle intelligence raises the value of exact identification.

XPENG was founded in 2014. In its public reporting, the company describes its focus as developing smart electric vehicles through in-house technology, design, research and development, manufacturing and sales capabilities. That origin is relevant to repair buyers because many modern vehicle functions sit at the boundary between mechanical hardware, electronics, sensors, wiring, software configuration and calibration.

For this reason, a component that looks close to the correct part may still be unsuitable. A camera, radar-related mounting component, screen, controller, lamp, harness or switch should be reviewed with the complete vehicle and part information—not selected only from a listing image or a model name.

WHAT TO CAPTURE FIRST

Four details that make an XPENG request reviewable.

01

Full model identity

Provide the exact model designation and country of sale. Avoid abbreviations when the badge or trim name can be photographed.

02

Build information

Record the production month/year where possible. Production updates can affect modules, lamp assemblies, trim and connectors.

03

Part label and connector

For electronic items, include clear images of the original label, connector faces and mounting tabs—not only the front of the part.

04

OE reference

Use the complete original-equipment number as the primary search term. The number should be copied exactly, including letters and suffixes.

WHEN SOFTWARE IS INVOLVED

Supply and installation are separate questions.

A physical replacement part may require diagnostics, coding, calibration or other workshop procedures after installation. A supplier can help establish whether a requested item is a plausible sourcing candidate, but should not promise that it will operate without vehicle-specific checks. This is especially important for safety-, driver-assistance- and display-related components.

Before requesting a quote, send the OE number, vehicle model, market, production date, fault context and clear photographs. If a VIN is available, include it for a more reliable application review. Professional installation and safety procedures remain the responsibility of a qualified workshop.
