TRADE REFERENCE | REVIEWED FOR PARTS-REQUEST CONTEXT

BRAND AND PARTS REFERENCE

Tesla.
Global models, local fitment checks.

How to build a more reliable Tesla replacement-parts request across model years and markets.

A GLOBAL EV STORY

Scale increases the need for application discipline.

Tesla was incorporated on July 1, 2003. Its public materials present the company’s mission as accelerating the transition to sustainable energy and describe an ecosystem that includes electric vehicles, energy storage and solar. For parts buyers, its global scale makes the core sourcing rule even more important: a familiar model name does not by itself identify a replacement part.

Model year, country of first sale, production location where relevant, left- or right-hand-drive configuration, trim, connector style and production revisions can matter. A part advertised for one market or production period should not be assumed to fit another without an OE-based review.

BUILD A CHECKABLE REQUEST

Four inputs before you search or quote.

01

Exact vehicle record

State the model, production month/year, market of first sale and left- or right-hand-drive configuration where applicable.

02

Full OE label

Photograph and copy every character of the original-equipment reference. Do not omit prefix, suffix or revision information.

03

Part position

For body, suspension, braking and lamps, state front/rear and left/right. Include mounting points and the full component.

04

Electronic context

For modules, displays, cameras and charging-related items, include connectors and explain the vehicle’s symptom or replacement reason.

PARTS, SOFTWARE AND SAFETY

A supplied part is not an installation result.

Some components may require diagnostics, pairing, calibration or safety procedures after installation. Compatibility of a physical part, programming requirements and the final repair outcome are different questions. A good sourcing review can reduce uncertainty, but it cannot replace the vehicle manufacturer’s procedures or qualified technician judgement.

Send the vehicle information, OE number and clear photos first. Where available, add the VIN so the workshop or sourcing team can perform a more careful application review before supply is confirmed.
