IDENTIFICATION GUIDE

How to find an
OE number on an EV part

An OE number is often the fastest way to start a parts search. Knowing where to find it and what to send with it can reduce delays and fitment mistakes.

WHAT AN OE NUMBER DOES

A useful identifier, not an automatic fitment guarantee.

OE means Original Equipment. The reference may be printed on a label, moulded into a housing, or displayed beside a QR code. It is particularly useful when a part name is unclear or generic.

It should still be checked against the vehicle. Model year, export market, trim and electrical configuration can all affect compatibility.

WHERE TO LOOK

Check the part before it is removed or packed.

01

Labels and QR codes

Electrical modules, sensors, charging components and battery-related parts commonly have alphanumeric labels.

02

Housing and casting marks

Lamps, body panels, ducts and brackets may have the reference moulded into plastic or metal.

WHAT TO SEND

A complete request makes the review faster.

  • Full OE number: including letters, hyphens and suffixes.
  • Clear photos: of the label and the complete part.
  • Vehicle details: make, model, market and build date.
  • VIN: when available, for a more reliable fitment check.

COMMON ERRORS

Do not order from the model name alone.

What if the OE number cannot be found?

Send photos from all sides, including connectors and every visible label. Our team can begin a manual review.

Does the same OE apply in every market?

Not always. Domestic and export versions may differ, so market and vehicle information remain important.

HAVE A REFERENCE?

Send the OE number or a photo.
We will review the part.
